Terms of sale
Version 2026-10-14.3
1. Who sells to you
Who runs Lamp & Leaf Press (name, Chamber of Commerce number, VAT number, address and contact details) is on the Contact page.
2. What you buy
Digital products: workbooks, journals and guides as PDF files, and audio files (MP3, sometimes packed in a ZIP file). Nothing is shipped by post. Audio is narrated with an AI voice. Some books are written in the voice of an AI character; these are marked "AI character". The products are for learning and personal reflection. They are not therapy and not medical, financial or legal advice.
3. Prices and payment
Visitors in the European Union see and pay prices in euros, including Dutch VAT. Everyone else sees prices in US dollars and pays no VAT; Stripe may show and charge that amount in your own currency at its exchange rate. The amount shown at checkout is the amount you pay. Payment is handled by Stripe. Your bank may charge its own fees.
We cannot sell to every country yet. Where the law of a country would require us to register for its sales tax from the first sale, we do not sell there. If an order comes from such a country (by billing address or by the country of the card), we refund it in full and no download is delivered.
We sometimes test different prices for the same product. Which price you see is assigned at random, not based on your personal data, and the price shown to you is the price you pay.
Orders sold through Link
For buyers in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Albania, Moldova, Serbia, Armenia, Georgia, India, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, Kazakhstan, Laos, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Türkiye, Vietnam, Cameroon, Kenya and Mexico, orders are sold through Link, Stripe's payment service, using Stripe Managed Payments. Sold through Link, LLC, Stripe's merchant-of-record company, is the seller of these orders. Link takes the payment, works out, collects and pays any sales tax, VAT or GST due in your country, and emails you the receipt and tax invoice. Our prices already include that tax. Lamp & Leaf Press does not charge Dutch VAT on these orders. Your card statement shows a line starting LINK.COM*. The Stripe checkout page shows Link's standard payment terms in its footer. Payment questions can go to Link's support at support.link.com; questions about the book or the download come to us at hello@lampandleaf.com. Because these are instant downloads, there are no refunds once a download has started; if a file doesn't arrive or doesn't work, we fix it, and if we can't, you get your money back. Link may also refund an order where its own rules or your local law require it. Any refund goes back through Stripe to the card you paid with. Nothing here limits any right your local law gives you. Everything else in these terms (what you buy, how it is delivered, how you may use it) stays the same.
Your right to cancel
Some countries, such as the United Kingdom, give you 14 days to cancel an online purchase. Because your download is available straight away, you agree at checkout that delivery starts immediately and that you lose this right once the download starts, where your local law allows that. It does not take away any right your local law gives you that cannot be waived.
4. Delivery
Delivery starts straight after payment: your download links appear on the confirmation page and are sent to your email address. Each link works for 72 hours; the link to your order page in the email gives you fresh links. If a download fails, email us and we will send it again.
5. Your right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have the right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. For digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium, this right ends once delivery has started, provided you agreed to immediate delivery beforehand and acknowledged that you lose the right of withdrawal (Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU; Article 6:230p(g) of the Dutch Civil Code).
Before you pay, we ask you to tick this box (it is never ticked for you):
I agree that delivery starts immediately and I lose my 14-day right of withdrawal once the download starts.
We confirm your consent in the order email. If you did not give this consent, or if no download has started yet, you may withdraw within 14 days of your purchase by sending us a clear statement by email, for example with the model form below. We then refund the full amount within 14 days, using the same payment method.

To Lars Nelissen van Gasselt (Lamp & Leaf Press), Sint Ursulahof 24, 5995 CG Kessel, The Netherlands, hello@lampandleaf.com:
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following digital content: [product], ordered on [date], order number [number].
Name: [your name] · Address: [your address] · Date: [date]
6. No refunds on downloads
Our products are instant downloads, so there are no refunds once a download has started. If you are a consumer in the EU and no download has started yet, you can still withdraw as described in section 5. If a file doesn't arrive, doesn't work or doesn't match its description, email us at hello@lampandleaf.com: we fix it, and if we can't, you get your money back (section 7). Orders from countries we cannot sell to are refunded automatically (section 3). None of this limits your statutory rights.
7. If something is wrong with a file
If a file does not open, is incomplete or does not match its description, tell us. We will send a working file, and if we cannot, you get your money back. This does not limit your statutory rights.
8. Licence
You may download, print and use the files for yourself and your household. You may not resell, share publicly or redistribute them.
9. Complaints and law
Send complaints to hello@lampandleaf.com; we answer within 14 days. Dutch law applies. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country.
